Hey guys! I have just recently discovered a wonderful weekly blogging prompt idea that Cee has started.
The way Share Your World (SYW) works is that Cee asks random questions every week on her blog (be sure to sign up to get your weekly reminders!), which participants then answer on their blog.
I feel like this is an amazing way to build a blogging community and also give inspiration to people (like me!) who are often confused on what to blog about so thank you very much for this opportunity.
I am rather late in having discovered this, and we are now on week 17. Nonetheless, please see below for my answers for this week!
When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?
Definitely pen – I think the main reason I am obsessed with writing in pen is that in school, we had a ‘rule’ that every student started writing off in pencil and then they were promoted to a fancy handwriting pen if the teacher thought the student had mastered good writing. So in some way, it’s almost like I have socialised into thinking that those writing in pencil have ‘rough’ wiring whereas all fancy writers use pen – I know this is not necessarily true! I mean, I do like to use pencil sometimes – I suppose it really depends on what I’m writing.
What’s your choice: jigsaw, word, maze or numeric puzzles?
I would say numeric puzzles because I absolutely love Sudoku! I remember when I used to be a university student; I would always pick up a Metro newspaper on my way to the campus, and then would spend the entire lecture completing the puzzle!
Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?
For most of my life, I have had long hair – I have never really thought about getting it cut short and I am not even interested in layers and feathers. But recently my hair is starting to really annoy me, and I feel like chopping it all off. My hair is natural very frizzy (oh the joys) and I did the stupidity of dying it many times so it is very coarse and damaged. I do not have the time to tame it well, and it always looks like a disaster. I cannot leave it out naturally because I look like a mess, and I hate straightening it, because it takes a lot of time and effort, only for it to start raining (why British weather?) and then my hair goes back to normal. So now I am thinking of a cut, like a proper boy cut – so I don’t have to bother with it at all but then I am very scared because that is very bold to do and I am not sure it will suit me!
List five some of your favourite bloggers.
Rozmin – she is an extremely talented lady and does a lot of crafts such as knitting, crocheting and embroidery. I would strongly suggest checking out her page, especially if you’re looking for amazing personalised gifts.
Adam – he is a new blogger so please go and show him some support. Adam is a very interesting guy, sharing his opinions and views on weird facts – very eye opening blog!
The Pink Apple – she is a cool blogger, taking about all things hair and beauty! Do check her post out for tips.
Paardje – I think it is only fair to list this blog because I have of course been inspired to write this blog because of a post on this blog. Cee’s blog is very interesting and diverse – lots of challenges and prompts!
Mahima – she is a lovely blogger, sharing her ideas on all things fashion 🙂
Bonus question: what are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week, I went to a different city for a three day residential course – I feel this experience was amazing. I have never stayed away from home alone before, so I feel like this trip was a step at expanding my independence and I am so grateful I got to do this. I got to learn so much, and I developed some life skills which is of course always handy. This week, Monday is a bank holiday so I am really looking forward to the longer weekend – I am hoping to catch up on some sleep and family time! I am also going out for my friends birthday this Saturday so I can finally present her with the unicorn gift box I made her a few weeks ago – I can’t wait to see her reaction!
I would strongly recommend all of you to join the Share Your World community if possible! Would love to read your responses 🙂
